A Singani story.

In a time long ago, when a bottle of Singani was brought to the seat of national government at  La Paz for the first time to be entered in the local fair—a fair held since before recorded history in what was once a native settlement called Chuquiago Marka (valley of gold)—the emissary in charge of bringing the bottle happened to stumble on the cobblestones of the marketplace letting the bottle go, whereupon it unhappily shattered on the stones at his feet.

The Singani poured out on the ground, its scent filling the air of the surrounding area. Those close by became astounded and surprised by the aromas emitted by the new spirit, so much so that nearby vendors began to shout in unison demanding that they be given orders for sale of this marvelous substance.

Well after the incident, the aromas had so penetrated the ground among the cobblestones that passersby who did not know what had happened would stop and ask the vendors what was that splendid product, and could they buy some right away.

Singani today continuous to astound, from the moment the bottle is opened. Singani, authentic and real since the start, and always in high spirits.
